2004 Committees

BUILDING COMMITTEE

Purpose: To enhance and maintain the Chamber of Commerce property.
Events: Youth Basketball Tournament; Annual Golf Tournament; G-Gauge Train Project &
Open House.

BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

Purpose: To ensure the Chamber is operated in a solid and business-like fashion.
Events: Holiday Radio Auction

COMMUNITY BETTERMENT COMMITTEE

Purpose: To provide opportunities for the community to retain the best from the past and address the needs of the future.
Events: Eggs & Issues; Legislature & City Council Form; Educational Meetings, and Golden Houn Dawg Awards for Education.

INDUSTRIAL/ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Purpose: To be the primary resource to local and prospective businesses for information and assistance in evaluating growth opportunities that best match our economic mix and community values.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

Purpose: The membership committee will increase membership and retention of existing investors through personal contact, ribbon-cuttings, and groundbreakings. Welcome new business, professionals, and prospective business people to our community.
Events: Membership Development; Ambassadors; Business After Hours; and Business Fair

RETAIL/TOURISM COMMITTEE

Purpose: Work with and for the businesses for growth and expansion for their customers and financial base.
Events: Small Business Award; Car/Truck Show; Houn Dawg Parade; Christmas Parade; Santa Train;
and Holiday Open House

SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE

Purpose: Will coordinate activities and events outside the regularly scheduled Chamber meeting to further the financial stability of the Chamber through development and implementation of fundraising activities.
Events: Little Mr. & Miss Houn Dawg, Little Miss Beagle, and Miss Beagle and Concessions; Fashion Show; Miss Holly Pageant and Concessions; Annual Chamber Banquet; and Newcomer Reception & Welcome
