Robinson Junior High
Robinson Junior is housed in the Robinson Complex along with Robinson
Middle School. The enrollment for grades 7 and 8 exceeds 330 students.
The junior high is designed to be a transition for students between
middle school and high school. To help the students with their transition
to high school, a Homeroom Teacher Advisor period is provided.
Required courses at Robinson Junior High include math, science, language
arts, social studies, health and physical education. Elective courses
include art, vocal music, instrumental music, industrial education,
family and consumer science, jazz band, reading, Spanish and media production.
Students have a variety of clubs and organizations in which to participate
such as National Junior Honor Society, Science Olympiad, scrapbook club,
Hoot Club, student council and Book Club. Junior High students participate
in interscholastic competitions in football, volleyball, boys' and girls'
basketball and track.
The students at Robinson Junior High typically are at or above average
on national and state assessments. There are two modern computer labs
that are used for instruction and research.
