Our local hospital is part of the St. John's Health System. It is licensed as a 53 bed acute care facility. The hospital employs 265 co-workers and the medical staff is comprised of eight (8) Board Certified Family Physicians, a Board Certified General Surgeon, a Board Certified Radiologist, a Dentist and four (4) full time emergency room physicians, who are Board Certified in Family Practice.

Our hospital co-workers include two (2) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, two (2) physical therapist, a occupational therapist, a speech therapist, thirty three (33) registered nurses and 10 licensed practical nurses. The Emergency Services Center is a member of the state Poison Control Center. Laboratory, radiology and respiratory services are also available 24 hours per day.

Several specialty clinics are available locally. They include Ophthalmology every Thursday and Friday. Ear, nose and throat specialists one day per month and urology one day per month.

The radiology department is equipped with some of the most up-to-date equipment available. The American College of Radiologist certifies the mammography program with three certified mammogram technicians. Our ultrasound technician is certified in all three aspects of ultrasound and is using the most up-to-date 3-D ultrasound available. We have a helical CT unit and a digital fluoroscopy that was installed in 2003. MRI scans are also available every Monday and Friday via the system mobile unit.

The hospital also operates a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation unit that is certified by the American Association of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. This is a certification held by only a few hospitals in the state. There is also a complete range of outpatient services available, including outpatient surgery, through the outpatient center.
